Strong performance for Karoll Capital’s funds in 2016

2016 was a good year for Advance fund’s investors. All UCITS funds managed by Karoll Capital with focus on Emerging Europe succeeded in beating their benchmark - MSCI EFM Europe and CIS (E&C) ex RU.

In 2016 Advance Invest, which invests in listed stocks in Bulgaria and Romania, realized a return of + 10.6%. Advance Eastern Europe - with focus on Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania – gained 11.9% for its unit-holders. Advance Emerging Europe Opportunities - mainly investing on the stock exchanges of Central Europe and the Baltics - realized a return of + 7.8%. Thus our funds rank in the top 10 among their regional peers. Advance Invest was recently awarded the “Best Equity Fund in Emerging Markets” recognition by Investor.bg.

Portfolio managers expect the dynamic development and excellent investment opportunities in the regional markets to continue through this year. The new political situation after the election of Donald Trump for US president favors the warming of US relations with Russia and Turkey.
